The main idea was to highlight the beauty of the medieval ruins and integrate elements of active leisure into the design. As the basis for the architectural concept we’ve used a contrasting combination of simple forms, neutral materials and a free-floating pedestrian ramp. The volumes are located along the walls of the castle forming artificial terraces – a reference to the existing terraces on the territory. 3 cubical pavilions with simple facades complement the monumentality of the existing walls, highlight the historical cladding and also break the former impregnability of the fortress.
